Make your business mission clear. When your visitors land on your site, is it immediately clear what your business does? Make it really easy for them to discover what your mission is and the value you bring. For example, when you land on the home page of this site, you instantly see a big image that tells you we offer premade websites and other products that will help build your business. You aren’t left to wonder what it is we do.

Reduce required fields on your forms. If email conversions is a problem, take a look at your opt-in forms and eliminate any unnecessary fields. Most people are quick to supply their first name and email address (or make it even easier by just asking for an email address). However, if they are asked to input their physical address or phone number, it may send them running the other way.

Make your call-to-action a button. If you’re using a clickable link, change it to an actually button. Textual links can often get lost with the rest of your text. A button stands out among the rest of your content.

Change the color of your buttons. You may already have buttons on your site. If is the case, try playing around the color of your buttons. Studies have shown that red buttons tend to convert better than green, as shown here and here. Another change you can make is placing your call-to-action above the fold. Make it easy to see as soon as visitors land on your site.

Display contact information. Place your email and phone number above the fold and in large font. Not only does this make it even easier for people to contact you, it also adds credibility and trust.

Add testimonials. Your business is great! Why not show it off? Pick comments and testimonials that really show the value you can offer your customers. Add credibility by adding full names, website links and an image of the person.

If your website just isn’t converting as well as you’d like, you can easily make some changes that will help optimize your site better and really increase conversions. You don’t have to make all these changes; pick the ones you feel will best help your business and start there.
